DOES PA HAVE A SPECIFIC COACHES' TRAINING PROGRAM THAT MUST BE COMPLETED BEFORE COACHING AT PA?

Yes!  PA has an extensive training program, designed to optimize correct technique and progressions for students, that must be completed by EVERY PA coach.  The PA coaches' training program is detailed, well researched for the most current and best coaching techniques, and very thorough.  The training program includes three sections:  written/comprehensive study; video demo and testing; and hands-on analysis of skills.  Our training program is designed to train our coaches:

1.  To adopt the same strategies and ideas so all coaches are coaching the same way and expecting the same things from their students.

2.  To gain a thorough understanding of the mechanics of each and every skill they will be teaching.

3.  To teach the importance of a thorough grasp of the basics in order to maximize progressions.

4.  To bring PA coaches together in understanding the importance of good coaching, both positive and negative reinforcement, and how to react in specific situations in order to provide the best and most positive environment for everyone.

5.  How to learn efficiency without sacrificing quality and how to manage coaching time.

6.  To learn how to spot effectively and to ensure the highest level of safety for students.

7.  To understand that every student is equally important and deserves equal time, attention and quality of coaching.
